TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia wants to hold a presentation of wine during the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius later this month.
Representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry explain that Georgia is in negotiations with the organizers about holding a wine presentation, but that there is no final agreement yet.
Georgian wine has a history that spans millennia with some of the oldest archeological traces of wine-making in the world. The beverage is also the country’s national symbol, and as such, presenting it at the summit will contribute to promoting the country.
