TBILISI, DFWatch – Demand is growing within the construction business in Georgia.

According to the National Statistics Department, GeoStat, the number of permits for constructions and reconstructions has increased by 43.3 per cent in 2011 compared to 2010.

The number of permits for constructing residential buildings has increased 26 per cent, whereas for other buildings the growth is 62 per cent.

The highest number of application for construction permit was observed in 2007. It decreased in 2008 after the Russo-Georgian war. From 2011, the number of requests started increasing.
