TBILISI, DFWatch–The president and the secretary of the Venice Commission will visit Georgia on January 16.

Gianni Buquicchio and Thomas Markert will meet with Speaker of Parliament Davit Usupashvili on Thursday and members of the constitution commission, which is working on a draft for amendments of the Georgian constitution.

The Venice Commission delegation will also meet with parliamentary opposition, the prime minister and the president.

In the evening, Gianni Buquicchio and Davit Usupashvili will hold a joint press conference.

The Venice Commission is the Council of Europe’s advisory body for constitutional matters.
