TBILISI, DFWatch–A new agreement between Georgia and Switzerland about simplified visa rules will come into force on January 1, 2014.
According to the Georgian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the two countries have completed all the procedures related to the agreement signed on September 13.
The agreement will simplify visa rules for Georgian citizens who are travelling to Switzerland. Apart from a shorter processing time and a smaller visa fee, it will become easier for Georgians to get multiple entry visas to Switzerland.
According to the agreement, citizens with diplomatic passports are allowed to enter Switzerland or use it as a transit country.
