TBILISI, DFWatch–Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta, Andriy Shevchenko, Demetrio Albertini, Alessandro Nesta, these are among the confirmed names for football players who will take part in the farewell match of former AC Milan player and current Minister of Energy Kakhi Kaladze in Tbilisi May 31.
Football fans and supporters of Kaladze are looking forward to the long-awaited farewell match, which he promised would comprise all football players with whom he had played the last ten years, including in Milan and Genoa.
“When it comes to the other team, which will play against Milan, there will be my friends, not only Georgians, but also foreigners, including football players for Kiev’s Dinamo, Genoa, also football players playing in Italy,” Kakhi Kaladze explained to journalists.
The match will be held at Dinamo Arena, the Boris Paichadze National Stadium in Tbilisi.
For the last few days, football fans have been discussing this issue and claim that among the players expected to come are also David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Iker Casillas and others, but the exact list is not yet known.
Kakhi Kaladze decided to leave football in the end of 2011 in order to support the current Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishivli and his Georgian Dream coalition. He planned to hold a farewell match in 2012, but the match was postponed several times.
