Maya Meredova is Georgia's new business ombudsman. (IPN.)

TBILISI, DFWatch – Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili has appointed a new business ombudsman.

Maya Meredova has worked at ProCredit Bank Georgia since 2006. She was General Director of Bank of Georgia 2010-2012.

Meredova was a consultant at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development in Kyrgyzstan and worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington.

She will replace Giorgi Pertaia as business ombudsman. Pertaia was senior advisor to the prime minister in the field of supporting business.
