    Woman shop attendant murdered in western Georgia

    TBILISI, DFWatch–A man killed a 39 year old woman working in a shop in western Georgia on Thursday for not letting him borrow a beer.

    The murder took place in Khelvachauri, in the Adjara region.

    The suspect has been detained, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The police also seized a knife which the man used to murder the woman.

    Another man entered the shop to buy bread and witnessed what happened. He tried to help the victim, but the assailant cut him with a knife and stabbed the female shop worker in the throat. The witness did not receive life-threatening injuries.

    Local media outlet reports that the suspect was arrested in the mortgaged house where he was living.

    An investigation has been launched for premeditated murder.
