TBILISI, DFWatch–UNDP chief Helen Clark is expected in Georgia February 17 for a three-day visit.

According to the UNDP, the organization’s administrator will hold meetings with government officials and representatives of local and international organizations.

She is spending her first day in the village Kachreti in the Kakheti region, visiting a UNDP professional college and agriculture extension center. Clark will also meet with local farmers, students and teachers. In the same village, the UNDP’s top official is to meet with Minister of Agriculture Davit Kirvalidze, and Education Minister Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The last two days of her stay, meetings are planned with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and President Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as the speaker of parliament, the justice minister and the foreign affairs minister.
