TBILISI, DFWatch – U.S. senator Richard Durbin is visiting Georgia today to discuss regional safety and US-Georgia relations.

The visit will last two days. He will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as representatives of the opposition and organizations.

Durbin is travelling with a delegation from the senate. He is the senior U.S. Senator from Illinois and Senate Majority Whip, the second highest position in the Democratic Party leadership in the Senate.
