TBILISI, DFWatch–Russian soldiers have taken two more Georgian villagers to a detention facility in Tskhinvali inside the breakaway region South Ossetia.

Ambrosi Kapanadze and Genad Baisikovi were taken from the villages Tsagveli and Kobi Saturday morning. Their family claim none of them crossed the de facto border.

Meanwhile locals in the village Ghogheti, which also borders on the same region, say Russian soldiers Saturday morning resumed the installation of barbed wire and posters warning people not to cross the border.

Villagers say their agricultural lands lie beyond the barbed wire so they won’t be able to bring in the harvest.

A few days ago, Russians detained two villagers from Khurvaleti. One of them was released the next day, while Gocha Makishvili was eventually released after paying a 2 000 Russian rubles (USD 60) fine. Makishvili spent five days in detention.
