TBILISI, DFWatch–Russian soldiers have detained two more Georgian villagers for illegally crossing the so-called administrative border around breakaway South Ossetia.

The detainees are Avtandil and Kakha Khaduri. They were detained two days ago and taken to Tskhinvali. The father and son were working in the garden in the village Kveshi, which borders on Russian-controlled territory.

The Khaduris, it turns out, are relatives of Nodar Khaduri, Finance Minister of Georgia. He told journalists that the detainees are his father’s cousin and his son.

“I spoke with the Interior Ministry representatives about this issue. They confirmed that the detainees are now at Tskhinvali Prison and I hope that they will soon be with their own family,” Khaduri said.

Meanwhile, Rostom Sosiashvili remains in detention in Tskhinvali. Russian border guards took him a few days ago in the village Ditsi, where the border was moved 300 meters.
