The number of Tbilisi flood victims has increased to 19. According to authorities, body of a man, who had been deemed missing, was found on Wednesday, while on Thursday rescuers recovered the body of a woman.

The body found nearby the zoo was identified as Eliza (Liza) Zarandia, 25. Her younger sister, Indira Zarandia, was found dead on Tuesday in Mziuri amusement park, across Vere river.

The sisters were travelling by a taxi, with a friend, to home after a birthday party when their car was hit by the flood on the new road connecting Heroes Square with Vake-Saburtalo junction. This road, which is located along the Vere river banks, was the epicenter of the disastrous flood.

The taxi driver, Elizbar Baghashvili, 56, and the sisters’ friend, Sergo Kapanadze, 31, are still missing.

The body discovered on Wednesday belonged to Suliko Nozadze, 56, who had been registered missing.

The third person missing is Beka Buturishvili, 35.
