TBILISI, DFWatch – Georgia’s Prime Minister Nika Gilauri says that gross domestic product (GDP) per capita will be 3 100 US dollars this year.

He has made this statement at a political debate in the parliament Friday, regarding the government’s ’10 point plan’ at the request of the Christian Democrats.

According to the Prime Minister, the GDP rates for Georgia are the best and achieving it is the government’s merit.

“This is not the high rates, but everything is comparable. In 2003 the GDP was 900 US dollars and during these 8 years it has grown threefold, which is the best rates, and in the next 4-5 years Georgia will transfer to a higher level than that of a developing country,” Nika Gilauri stated. A
