TBILISI, DFWatch — A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border at about 14:15 on Sunday.

The epicenter was 10 km east of Lagodekhi, Georgia, and 10 km in depth.

The seismic monitoring center of Ilia University in Georgia reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.1.

According to Iliauni seismic monitoring center, the epicenter was in Tsnori, in the Kakheti region, while five minutes before the earthquake, there was a smaller earthquake of 3.1 in magnitude 13 km away in village Eri.

There was an earthquake on Saturday night as well. Its epicenter was on Azerbaijani territory, 5 km away from the border with Georgia. It had a magnitude of 4.6.

So far there are no reports about any damage.
