TBILISI, DFWatch – Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili will attend the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit to be held March 27-28 in Seoul, South Korea.

The president’s press spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze said this at a regular briefing Tuesday.

According to the summit’s official website, it will be the largest to happen in the security field that discusses international cooperative measures to protect nuclear materials and facilities from terrorist groups.

The conference will see participation from more than 53 heads of state and international organizations.

Main issues for discussion are cooperation to prevent nuclear terrorism, protecting nuclear materials and related facilities and countering trafficking in such technology.
