Saakashvili criticizes government's handling of NATO

TBILISI, DFWatch — Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili says the meeting of the NATO-Georgia commission on Wednesday was not a step forward for the country.

Saakashvili made the comment during a working visit to Poland.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t see a new institutional step forward,” he said, “but I think it can be improved. Nothing is lost. I think we will be able to review some issues over inside policy, in our international relations. Then we will be able to step forward.”
