TBILISI, DFWatch–Police in Georgia have detained several hotel owners for providing space for organized prostitution.

On Monday, the Interior Ministry informed that police from Adjara’s main police department had detained a man named Gela (born in 1984), who owns the Hotel Star together with Ramaz (born in 1973), a citizen of Turkey, and Tamaz (born in 1965), who owns the hotel Genatsvale in Adjara, a region on the Black Sea coast in western Georgia.

The detainees admit guilt and remain in a preliminary detention.

The police confiscated marijuana and ecstasy during the special operation at a club in one of the hotels.

Women working at the hotels were questioned as witnesses.
