TBILISI, DFWatch — A court has fined the former manager of Maestro TV, Erosi Kitsmarishvili, with USD 845 204 for damaging equipment belonging to the TV company one year ago.

November 30, 2011 Erosi Kitsmarishvili and a group of strangers scaled the walls of Maestro TV, broke into the building and didn’t let journalists neither leave nor enter.

For the next few days, staff inside the studios continued to broadcast, but later the company moved to a new office in another part of the capital.

During the incident, some of Maestro’s equipment was damaged, and some left in the old studio.

There has since been a law suit running, which did not lead to a solution until the government changed after parliamentary election in October, 2012.
