TBILISI, DFWatch — Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili’s first visit abroad after assuming office will be to Brussels on November 12 to 14.

After Friday’s government session, Foreign Affairs Minister Maia Panjikidze said Ivanishvili will be meeting with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General on November 14.

At the meeting he will be accompanied by the foreign minister, the minister for Euro integration and the defense minister.

After the Georgian Dream coalition won the parliamentary election, Ivanishvili first said he planned to visit the U.S. first, but later stated that he wanted to let his first trip abroad be to Europe, and instead visit America after the presidential election there was over.
