TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia will host the session of the informal dialogue within the Eastern Partnership February 12 and 13.

Georgia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Maia Panjikidze and Economy Minister Giorgi Kbirikashvili will host the event, according to the press office of the Foreign Ministry. Aleksi Petriashvili, State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues, will also participate.

Štefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Helga Schmid, Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service and Siim Kallas, European Commissioner for Transport, will represent EU at the meeting. There will also be delegations from various countries present.

The meeting will deal with the further development of the Eastern Partnership, as well as dialogue on transport issues.

According to the Foreign Ministry, this event is also important in that it precedes the third summit of the Eastern Partnership, which is planned held on November 28-29 in Vilnius, and as such is an opportunity to get ready for that summit.
