President Giorgi Margvelashvili sent condolences to victims of the London attacksTBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia’s president and prime minister have expressed their condolences to the families of victims of the recent London terror attack, which left seven dead and over 48 injured.

“I am deeply outraged over the brutal terrorist incidents in #London. #Georgia stands with the #British people and government in solidarity,” President Giorgi Margvelashvili wrote on Twitter.

PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili also chose Twitter to convey his message, writing: “Georgia stands by Uk & its people following London Bridge attack. Deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims.”

Three attackers driving in a van began mowing down pedestrians on London Bridge late Saturday evening at about 10pm. They jumped out of the van and proceeded to stab multiple victims in bars around the Borough Market area.

Witnesses reported that the attackers shouted “This is for Allah” and stabbed patrons with long-bladed knives. All three terrorists were shot and killed by police, who launched an intense search for accomplices.
