TBILISI, DFWatch — Georgia played 1-1 against Finland Friday in the third qualifier for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The match was played in Helsinki. When the first half ended there were no goals, but in the 11. minute of the second half, the Georgian team scored. Finland equalized in the 63. minute of the second half.

In Georgia’s group, Group One, Spain is leading with two matches and two wins, followed by France with the same results. Georgia is in third place with three matches and one win, one lose and one draw. Finland has played two matches, one of which ended with a draw and another one was lost. Belarus is in last place with three matches and three losses.

September 7, Georgia won its first match against Belarus, but September 11 lost 0-1 to Spain, probably the strongest team.

October 16, Georgia will be playing against Belarus in Minsk.
