TBILISI, DFWatch–Ministry of Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili is creating a new service center to protect the interests of exporters.

Kvirikashvili said on Thursday said that the new body will start working from Friday.

“Along with positive trends in Georgia’s foreign trade turnover, and export growth in the last period, there have also been cases of creating artificial barriers for export of Georgian product,” he said.

Material obtained by the center will be used by representatives of the ministry, including the minister, during negotiations with trade partners.

The experience garnered will be used when devising rules to regulate bilateral trade and in order to protect the interests of Georgian entrepreneurs who are oriented at export.
