TBILISI, DFWatch–Repeat elections are held today at four precincts in south and west of Georgia where results were cancelled October 8 due to irregularities.

The results of one precinct in Marneuli and three in Zugdidi were cancelled due to attacks on Election Day.

The main competitors in Zugdidi are Sandra Roelofs from the National Movement and Edisher Toloraia from Georgian Dream.

In Marneuli, the National Movement candidate is Ahmed Imamkuliev while Georgian Dream is fielding Tamaz Naverian.

Apart from the repeat elections for parliament, villages in Zugdidi will also hold a by-election for head of municipality, or gamgebeli.

Also in the gamgebeli race, the main candidates are from the ruling Georgian Dream and the National Movement.
