TBILISI, DFWatch–Police in Georgia have detained four persons for for extortion.

Wednesday, the Interior Ministry said that the four, Giorgi, 24, Giorgi, 25, Vladimer, 31 and Mikheil, 58, had threatened to kill their victim if he didn’t pay them 55,000 laris (USD 23,000).

All four have previously been convicted of extortion.

The ministry published a video clip which shows a person shouting to the victim that if he doesn’t give them the money he will shoot him in the head.

The investigation is based on article 181, second paragraph, of the Criminal Code about conspiracy to commit extortion.
