TBILISI, DFWatch – The visa rules between Georgia and Lebanon will be simplified, the two countries’ prime minister have decided.

Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri yesterday left for a two day visit to Lebanon. There, he met the President, the Speaker of Parliament and the Prime Minister.

During the meetings, they discussed future cooperation and decided to set up an intergovernmental council which will gather once every six months and discuss cooperation issues.

Gilauri also attended a business forum while there. He made a speech and described Georgia’s economic situation. Several businessmen expressed a desire to start business in Georgia within energy and agriculture.

A Lebanese delegation with Prime Minister Najib Mikati will soon visit Georgia.
