TBILISI, DFWatch–By-elections will be held April 27 in three districts of Georgia to fill seats made vacant when members of parliament were appointed to government positions last year.

The three districts are Nadzaladevi in Tbilisi, and Baghdati and Samtreida, two towns in western Georgia, the Central Election Commission said Friday.

The seats became vacant when Tea Tsulukiani was appointed Justice Minister, Kakhi Kaladze Energy Minister and Archil Kbilashvili Chief Prosecutor.

Manana Kobakhidze, one of the coalition leaders, said Friday that Georgian Dream has not yet decided on its candidates in the three by-elections.

The Georgian Dream coalition surprisingly won the parliamentary election on October 1, 2012, with 54.97 percent of the votes. The National Movement Party received 40.34 percent.
