TBILISI, DFWatch–Georgia will mark NATO week from 3 to 10th June. It will be opened by NATO envoy James Appathurai and the minister for Euro Atlantic integration.

Elene Gotsadze, director of the information center for NATO and EU, said Friday that James Appathurai, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, will arrive in Georgia June 3. His visit will last for one day, and he will hold meetings with government officials.

Different events are planned for the NATO week. It will start with an international seminar about informing society about the process of integrating Montenegro, Bosnia and Macedonia in NATO. NATO aspirant countries will also participate in the seminar.

Meetings are planned with students and local non-government organizations, while events will be held in different regions all over the country.

There will be an exhibition about Georgia’s and Romania’s participation in ISAF operation with photos taken by Georgian and Romanian soldiers.

The week will end June 10 with a NATO youth summit.
