TBILISI, DFWatch – There are 3 621 256 voters in Georgia, according to Central Election Commission’s (CEC) preliminary data, which was published today.

According to the CEC, there are 84 election districts in the country. The majority of voters,155 502, are from the district Samgori, which is a district in the capital, while the least number of voters are in Kazbegi district, Georgia’s mountains in the north; 5 779 voters.

77 232 persons have been removed from the voter’s roll on the grounds of legal person and living owners’ statement.

The final list of voter’s will be published September 15.

Earlier in August, two state commissions working on the voter’s list published their results based on going from door to door. According to the results, there are 3 483 142 voters in Georgia. The commission’s work revealed that 291 471 voters registered in Georgia currently live abroad, while 26 000 are dead.

According to the latest data, there are already registered nineteen parties for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

These are: New Rights Party, Merab Kostava Society, Industry Will Save Georgia, Kakha Kukava -Free Georgia,Georgian Dream Democratic Georgia, Our Georgia Free Democrats, Georgia’s Conservative Party, Georgia’s European Democrats, Georgian Dasi, Georgia’s Green Party, National Democratic Party, Shalva Natelashvili – Georgia’s Labor Party, National Forum, People’s Movement, Republican Party, National Movement – More Benefits to People, Traditionalists, Salome Zurabishvili- Georgia’s Way, Christian Democrats.
